Special SAENA Meeting: Monday, Sept. 24th, 7PM

Please join us on Monday, September 24th for a special St Anthony East Neighborhood Association Board Meeting to learn the results of the neighborhood survey, and to hear a presentation from Minneapolis Public Works on the Nicollet-Central Avenue Transit Alternatives Study.

  • Date: Monday, September 24th
  • Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM
  • Location: Clare Housing Apartments (929 Central Ave NE)

Neighborhood Survey Presentation:
Over 290 residents participated in the neighborhood survey this summer, providing input on how they want to see St Anthony East develop in the future. Don’t miss this chance to hear what residents said about the neighborhood and what SAENA will do with the results.

Nicollet-Central Transit Alternatives Study:
The City of Minneapolis is currently conducting a study on Nicollet Ave S and Central Ave NE to identify opportunities for enhanced transit — either through an enhanced bus line or a modern streetcar development. The results of this study could have a significant impact on Northeast Minneapolis, including St Anthony East. We urge you to give your input on this initiative. In addition to the presentation at the SAENA board meeting, the City is holding several public Open Houses this month to get public feedback. More information on the Open Houses can be viewed at: http://www.minneapolismn.gov/nicollet-central/index.htm

Our regularly scheduled SAENA board meeting will follow the presentations and is open to the public. Please email us at saena3@gmail.com or call 612-331-6514 with questions or comments.
