City proposes changes to parking regulations for Multifamily Residential property served by frequent transit

SAENA ADMIN COMMENT: In Saint Anthony East, this could affect how much parking is built on larger development sites on corridors such as Broadway and Central….It is not a broad reduction in parking requirements throughout the neighborhood.

Staff from the Minneapolis Department of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) are currently evaluating changes to the City’s zoning ordinance affecting the number of parking spaces that must be provided by apartments and condominiums in areas well-served by public transportation.
